I love this room! It is gentle, light and airy. The sofa is ultra comfy and oversized in the room, as it was not possible to squeeze any other comfy seating into this space – go big or go home! The walls are bag plastered with a texture that adds to the casual feel of the room. The pale colours work so well in this small, bright space.
This room reminds me of Danish interiors. It is sparse, yet comfortable. All the items used were hand-me-downs, junk shop finds or sale goods – who said you have to spend a fortune to create a pretty space! The mats beside the bed are grass mats from Swaziland.
Steeped in nostalgia – small prints, lace-edged linen, old books and floral prints create a welcoming space to recharge the soul.
I am SO mad about this fabric from George Smith! It is lush and dramatic, and the pink is sensational! This cloth adds such drama to the otherwise subdued Shaker feel of the kitchen. I love it, love it, love it! The old riempie chair adds weight and meaning to the interior.
Painted furniture, linen, crochet work and quilts create a casual soft interior, with green adding a touch of colour.
